Roumel6 is a New York based collection, founded in 2015. Our design philosophy celebrates understated, modern luxury with elegant, refined detail. The intended approach is an evolving wardrobe of timeless pieces, essentials that express a woman’s personality while acknowledging the subtle power of sensuality. The brand’s goal is to create harmony and fusion from day to night, thus reflecting and inspiring our lives.

Designer: Denitza Skorcheva

Born in Sofia, Bulgaria, designer Denitza Skorcheva spent her childhood immersed in the international art world, the daughter of Eli and artist Rumen Skorchev. The label’s name is an amalgam of her parents first names.

Influenced by the art and the artist surrounding her, Denitza Skorcheva attended the Academy of Fine Arts in Sofia, where she earned her MFA, with a focus on illustration, book design and traditional printmaking.

With an eye for color and interest in textiles, Denitza’s professional ambitions lead her to New York, where she enrolled in the design program at the Fashion Institute of Technology, earning a degree in fashion design.

Following Internships with Diane von Furstenberg and Carolina Herrera, Denitza Skorcheva accepted a design position at Necessary Objects, and worked closely with fashion director Kal Ruttenstein, in developing Bloomingdales Aqua label.

Skorcheva joined Nine West in 2003 as design director, moving to VP of design in 2007, where she participated in transforming the company into a multi-million dollar fixture in the market, stepping away in 2014 to develop her own label.
